"There's been trials and tribulations. You know I've had my share. But I've climbed a mountain, and I've crossed a river, and I'm almost there!"
Rachel is a proud member of the OKC Thunder Girls. She began singing, dancing and acting at the age of six. She took an eight year break from performing until her senior year of high school when she began to realize her love for the performing arts again. She is now pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance at the University of Central Oklahoma. Some of her favorite shows include Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, Ragtime, Once On This Island and Annie (ages ago!). Rachel is an only child but has two play nephews, Ryan and KJ, and a new play niece, Cadence, who she loves with all her heart. She teaches dance classes with Tippi Toes Dance and is the technique coach for the Putnam City High School Varsity Pom Squad. On Sunday mornings she is a praise and worship leader and a kids church teacher at The Father's House Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. Passionate about serving and helping others, Rachel has been on missions trips to Acuña, Mexico, Port au Prince and Thomazeau, Haiti. She also spent time volunteering with Sidewalk Sunday School in some of the inner city areas around Oklahoma City. Rachel was recently named First Runner Up in the Miss Black University of Central Oklahoma Pageant. Her platform, "A Change of P.A.C.E.; teaching youth the importance of Perseverance, Accountability, self-Confidence and self-Expression by implementing the performing arts in their everyday lives" is something she still holds dear to heart and hopes to one day put to use by making dance classes available to underprivileged kids. Rachel couldn't be more ecstatic about getting to work for this awesome company and getting to be Princess Tiana, something she's been dreaming of since she was sixteen! "...fairy tales can come true, but you gotta make 'em happen. It all depends on you!"
